And one more week makes three!

Three weeks old already and I'm enjoying every moment. How can you not enjoy life as a baby? Eat, sleep, get your diaper changed... Pretty great. Since dad just started his job in November, he didn't have much leave accrued to stay at home with mom and me right after I was born. That means we have to take advantage of as much together time when he is home. I hear my brother used to be up a lot at night to be rocked by dad. I prefer sleeping at night (and I think mom and dad prefer that too) so I hang with dad as much as I can when he gets home from work. Dad did give up a little of his holding time to Nana when she and Grandpa were visiting so that Nana and I could have some chats. What a lucky kid that there are so many grownups waiting in line to give me some cuddles!

Two weeks old!

Hard to believe I'm already celebrating my two-week birthday today. It's been a pretty great two weeks. Lots of sleeping, eating, dirty diaper-making... My family is pretty fantastic. I got to spend lots of time with my grammy, my pap-pap, and mom and dad, of course. And did you guys know how awesome my big brother Jack is? Can you believe he shared his monkey with me? I sure am a lucky guy. I'm looking forward to meeting my Nana and Grandpa this weekend. I was hoping to go out on the town to cheer on Grandpa in his 1/2 marathon in DC on Saturday but mom says I'm still too little to be out and about. Guess I'll have to wait for another time.

Love,
Will

Hello world!

I was determined to time my arrival so that I could share a birthday with my big brother, Jack. The doctor told mom at her appointment on the morning of March 9 that it was unlikely I was going to make it before the weekend. Much to everyone's surprise, I had different plans. Mom went into labor on the afternoon of March 9 and after everyone ate dinner and Jack went to bed, Mom and Dad went to the hospital. I was born on March 10 at 6:35 am. I weighed 8 lbs, 8 oz and was 21.5 inches long. Mom and dad took a day to name me and finally settled on Will Fraser. I'm quite pleased with that. Life is pretty good for a baby. Mom's happy that I am a super sleeper and a champion eater. In fact, when I went to the doctor's for my one week visit, I was already back to my birth weight. Well, I can't wait to meet all of you in person. For now, I hope you enjoy the pictures. Mom promises not to be a slacker on updating the blog so you'll get to see plenty of me.

Love,
Will
